goals

• To bridge the difficult Safety Language Barrier bewteen English and Spanish speaking workers by providing wording in two languages.
• Provide the necessary training material for workers to gain a better understanding of extremely dangerous unsafe acts / unsafe conditions that they encounter on normal day to day operations.

We believe these goals can be achieved through simple and easy to understand professional cartoon illustrations designed to simulate utility worker job sites through a series of drawings compiled in a pocket sized 3.5 x 5.5" underground utilities handbook.

objectives

This concept of using cartoon ilustrations with bilingual wording and being able to view identical job sites on oposing pages demonstrating unsafe work practices on the first page and safe work practices on the second page will provide the workers with a knowledge of the causes of accidents as well as what necessary protective actions to take to avoid a unnecessary accident.
